The future of the Demolisten mental health charity is in doubt today after one of the founding partners - the Mates in Mind charity - sought to distance itself from a co-founder who has been disqualified as a director for providing false information in order to receive a Bounce Back Loan.
Ben Chambers has been disqualified from acting as a director for 12 years. His banning order began on 29 January.
Speaking exclusively to Demolition Insider, a Mates in Mind charity spokesperson said: “On learning of the difficulties surrounding the founder of Demolisten, we have paused our association. We do not believe it would be appropriate to comment further at this time.”
According to the Demolisten website, demolition contractors Metro Deconstruction, R Collard and Colemans are supporters of the troubled charity.
