Settanta's Italian flair

Machine maverick Marco Laurini unveils his own high reach excavator.

During the European Demolition Association's Study Tour of Italy, one of the most hotly-anticipated visits was to the headquarters of Laurini.

The company is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary; and it is doing so in style with the launch of the custom-built SETTANTA high reach excavator.

The machine weighs in at 35 tonnes and is capable of wielding a 3.0 tonne tool at 24.5 metres. It is powered by a 257 kW Scania diesel engine, and features a variable undercarriage that extends from 2.3 to 3.7 metres.
